Increased demand due to COVID-19

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted many people around the world. As the world responds to the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, we are also taking action to keep SEMA3 running smoothly. However, as more universities and organizations are shifting to online research, we are experiencing increased demand on the SEMA3 platform.

We appreciate your patience as we try to manage increased demand and respond to any issues as they arise. In the event of server outages or other issues, we will endeavor to roll out fixes ASAP to help keep SEMA3 running smoothly. However, as a non-commercial free research platform we have limited resources to deal with the increased traffic we’re experiencing. We are doing our best, but do ask for your understanding. If you are experiencing any issues, please email us at sema-team@unimelb.edu.au and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

What you can do to ensure you’re using the latest version of SEMA3:
- Turn on auto-updates for the SEMA3 mobile applications and instruct your participants to do so
- If you experience issues with accessing the SEMA3 researcher platform, try hard reloading your web browser
